Animal:  An animal is a living, nonhuman creature, usually a vertebrate with no magical abilities and no innate capacity for language or culture. Animals have low-light vision. Animals breathe, eat, and sleep.

Living Cave.  The owlbears attacked the nearest heroes.  These owlbears fought to the death. The owlbears discarded some humanoid remains in the pool of water. The remains carried a cloak of elvenkind , a masterwork longsword, and a potion of bear’s endurance . The heroes found the body. Sleeping cave.  Tiny “mep, mep” noises could be heard coming from the gigantic nest located in the corner of this room. A trio of owlbear cubs huddled in the nest contained in this chamber. They were very young and could only nip as a defense. Owlbear cubs are quite valuable and can fetch as much as 1,500 gp in an open market.
